The good news is that I've identified the cause of a pesky little problem that was keeping my first arena's backgrounds from synching up correctly. The bad news is that it is going to take a few extra days to fix it. I was working on a tight schedule to begin with and this new time requirement throws off my calculations.

I was hoping to have the arena work done tonight so I could start on the preloader and menu stuff tomorrow, but it looks like that's not going to happen now. Due to the methodology I developed for background synchronization, I must correct this problem before I can do anything else.

It's not a catastrophic failure, just enough to irritate me and screw with my plans.

Assuming no further complications arise and I get support from NG admin for the large file size, I estimate that VG Exiles Ep.2 will be released in early July.

I hope the best for you man. You have a great series and it really has potential and for it to fall now would awful. Do your best if alittle background is not right don't worry about it post your video and you will still be loved. I'm more intrested in the the story and the fights more then just the background but do your best.

I'm too anal retentive to post a video that I am not satisfied with. I've found flaws in my previous videos after release, but that falls under the "tough shit" rule.

Any problem that can be fixed before release will be fixed, delayed release or no.

I try to see problems as a way of forcing myself to improve upon my techniques. What sucks is when the problem is my own damn fault and not the result of a flash malfunction.

During Episode 2, you will see what Gambit used to kill Sonya, and it wasn't his cards. After this story arc ends, the Exiles will be recruiting. I won't be dwelling on the past with Sonya 7695-890. She's dead. Time to look toward the future...

I know exactly what you mean. I had a similar problem with 32-bit tournament 2. When working with large file sizes it's easier for things to go out of sync or 'screw up'

Just out of curiosity, how LARGE is the file size now?

At this moment, the fight alone is 9.50 MB. By the time it's all said and done, I am estimating the file size to be 12-14 MB.

The problem had nothing to do with the large file size. It was 100% human error. I have actually experienced no problems relating to the size of the file itself.

Knowing your work, I'm not worried at all, and the extra time is only going to end up making something epic into something uber.

It's people like you which keep me away from making sprite fights...hard to bring something up to your level or close. I do have an idea for one, using sprites no one else has ever used (at least on NG), so I just might take that up. However, it would take me months to finish...but that's just how things are.

I can't wait to see this. Keep it up!
