All-around excellence!

I gotta hand it to you. You did an excellent job with this!

It was humorous, action-packed, and actually quite touching! Please accept my 10/10 and 5/5 with knowledge that it was indeed well-earned.

Thank you for your review and thanks for the kind words.

Why did you submit this?

Your last flash release was less than three months ago. Why would you want to show the fight before it's finished? I don't remember Steven Spielberg putting Jurassic Park in theaters before inserting the dinosaurs. FINISH first, THEN release.

Choreographically speaking, it's decent. However, the 2% of "new stuff" is grossly overshadowed by the other 98% that is horribly overdone and cliched to the extreme.

Seriously, how am I supposed to get excited by the exact same Ryu vs Ken fight that I have already seen done hundeds of times before? An inverted Tatsumaki-Senp%u016B kyaku can't save the boredom factor of the matchup.

You used Last Blade characters to good effect in your last submission. They are very rarely, if ever, seen in flash. Why settle for yet another unoriginal and boring Shoto matchup when you have the proven capacity to show something newer and more exciting?

i find your review quite helpful, since the purpose of the demo is to collect information on how to improve. thank you.

HAH!

I was fourteen when Mortal Kombat Annihilation came out. At the time, I thought it was the greatest movie ever.

Going back and watching it now? Kinda painful... Horrible plot, overabundance of unnecessary characters, and extremely unnecessary game tie-ins. (Animality, anyone?)

Oh well. At least it had a cool soundtrack and Sandra Hess fighting in mud!

Shadowii2 responds:

Heh, I can relate to that type of stuff. I used to thought some movies and shows were great, but nowdays I can only cheaply laugh at them either due to silly plot or dubbing.

Anyway, thanks for the review.

VERY NICE

I had to deduct a couple of points because it is only a preview. Honestly, you should probably have kept this under wraps until it was complete. Still, what's done is done.

Your skills have improved greatly in a very short time! Your choreography is excellent, as well! Keep going and you'll soon have the technical knowledge to do it the greatest justice!

"Choke on em'!!!"

That homage to the original gets an instant ten from me. I tip my hat to you, sir.

Long live Rhodes

Oh, hell yeah!

Very impressive!

The speed and the music made for a very exciting short! I also like how you chose to use bone claw Wolverine. That added an element of realism that wouldn't have been present with adamantium claws.

I also LOVE the outcome.

I regret to hear that you will be leaving the sprite world. However, I do realize all too well the need to move on when there is no more joy in something. Best of luck, man!

Damn, you actually reviewed me lol. Glad to see that you enjoyed it though, because from the score lots of others did not. It came out with a 3.63, went all the way down to a 3.02 and now it has a 3.26.

I KNOW I could of done better, but due to my lazy factor I never can bring out my full potential. I'm going to try to with my last submission though, I actually learned a couple of things while working on this.

Thx for reviewing me =)

Nice trailer!

Unfortunately, I cannot give top scoring to a trailer.

This series looks like it will feature less-frequently-seen characters, which is a MAJOR plus in my book. I eagerly await your next creation!

Not bad.

Simple, yet effective presentation of the song lyrics.

However, I noticed the detrimental effect of the compression on the song itself. With a music video like this, you want the audio quality to be much better. This file weighs in at just under 1MB. You had plenty of leeway there to increase the sound quality, if only a little.

All in all, good presentation. In the future, don't be afraid of using a little extra space to ensure better sound quality.

R1665

Well done.

I can't give top scoring to an incomplete flash. I will say that your predicament is indeed regrettable. This is exactly why you shouldn't animate on communal or family computers! Too many yahoos messin' with your hardware...

If you decide to rebuild and animate again, you might want to consider pulling that camera back a bit next time. It was just a little bit too close.

R1665

Good times.

I had to deduct a point for the ending, though. That works for network television because the time frame between episodes is measured in days. For a flash series that can be months or years between episodes, maybe not such a good idea...

Stylistically speaking, I just couldn't get into it. Not your fault, so no deductions there. It doesn't seem to invoke the same aura of intensity that most of your other videos do. For the characters you used, it seemed a bit to "happy", too "playful". I never really felt the sense of urgency or danger as I did with the first episode.

Again, that's all stylistic and subjective. Feel free to disregard my matters of opinion. It's one hell of a flash, it just didn't "click" with me personally.

(Oh, and thanks for the shout-out!)

No happy theme for you then? I guess you are a brutal savage MK type of guy. Well it's all fair play. But those ninjas were hanging!
