Actually, there are an uncountable number of Gambits in the multiverse. The Gambit that everyone is familiar with is from Earth 9242-616.
The Gambit that you met at the end of Episode 1 is from Earth 9242-630.
The dead Gambit that you see in the screenshot was from Earth 9242-355.
Essentially, Gambit 630 murdered Gambit 355 and assumed his identity in order to infiltrate the Exiles.
Yeah, it's a little complicated, but so is the multiverse!
