So I was playing story mode in the new mk and Johnny Cage has the funniest lines in the game.

The MK story mode is indeed the greatest fighting game story mode ever. The only thing that pisses me off so far is the frequent two-on-one fights. That gets irritating REAL fast.
I had to spam Sonya's forward grapple to get past Kitana/Jade.

The hardest fight is against Goro and Kintaro when your doing cyber sub sub-zero's chapter. Even though Cyber sub-zero is the most overrated character other than scorpion.
I would have to disagree there. I actually found Cyber Sub Zero to be remarkably effective after I spent a couple of minutes getting used to him. I really didn't even need his ice attacks to curb stomp Goro and Kintaro. His air kicks are AMAZINGLY effective against those two.
I cursed that match and my luck for exactly five seconds. Then I demolished them. No problem.

The hardest fight hands down was the final batttle with Khan. That fucker is so fucking impossible. Other than Onaga, I shed some tears fighting Onaga.
Yeah, I pretty much have to hang back and spam projectiles to have a fighting chance with Khan. Those yellow invincibility moments are frustrating as hell.
I can get past Goro and Kintaro by aggressively getting in their faces. Khan not so much.

Alright, I'm getting this game
BUT: compared to MK VS DC story, how hard is this one? It was hard but manageable after 3 tries on the mkvsdc boss. I'm hoping this ones the exact same difficulty.

OMG!!! that artwork is PIMP!!!! I'm sad to learn that you have parted ways with the previous artist, but I'm glad you guys are still on good terms. I've been a fan of VGE since I first saw it, so no matter how many delays it has, I will always wait with anticipation for the new episodes.

So I bought MK9 a day and a half ago and I've beaten Story mode, cleared challenge tower and beaten arcade 16 times. The sad part: I play on easy :(

Now the fighter who loses VGE3 gets more than a beating and a Fatality. They get some broken bones courtesy of an x-ray. I was, and still am, against using x-rays during frenzied kombat in flash, but I can see no reason why they cannot be used to put some extra hurt in before delivering the killing blow...

Upon further examination, it would seem that Raiden does not, in fact, suck. He just has some very intricate and unusual combos that would actually be devastating in the right hands. The "right hands" are just not those who use him cold. I admit my error in judgment.

When you buy a console game, you can sell it or give it to a friend when you are done with it. You can also buy a console game used.
Once you purchase a Steam-powered game and use the key code, it becomes PERMANENTLY locked to your Steam account. Nobody else can EVER use it. They can't even INSTALL the damn thing. That means that your game is absolutely and completely worthless to absolutely everybody at the very moment you stop playing it. You cannot transfer the key or relinquish your rights to it. It is yours forever whether you want it or not.

if you want to do a good combo use the x y x y x y combo it leads into the shocking grab and after you do that just continue it with the diving attack or whatever
Nah. x y x y combos don't work so well for me, especially against Shao Khan. I'm best with combos that start with a double-tap.
I just lost twice to Shao Khan, then spammed the lighning bolt from a distance on the third attempt after the game lowered the difficulty. Pretty easy. I have no qualms about using cheap tactics on such a cheap boss.

1.) I'd like smoke a lot better if he didn't have that ridiculous anime hair. I much prefer his secondary costume for that reason. I did like what little I played of him in story mode and his fatalities are good. He's just never going to be one of my mains.
2.) I play it on the 360, yes. I've only played it online once, and that was against someone I actually knew. I have no desire to go online and play competitively with shit-talking, socially inept ten-year-olds who live on the damn game. Call of Duty taught me that.
3.) That's easy. People pick Scorpion for the same reason they picked him twenty years ago - free hits with the spear.

I give Alvin a pass because he was the first one to popularize it in a sprite series. He also seems to be the only one who can do it in an interesting manner.
