Yeah, this is partly why I just don't care about newgrounds anymore. I only ever come here for a few different series, including yours. I haven't even really been trying to fix my problem with flash because I don't really care about this place anymore.

i have seen these kinds of games before.
MOST games that have ads are awful by default for me.
strictly because most of them are 1 level, uninspired, abominations.
but for something like what Egoraptor makes, which gets like 100,000s of views,
i can understand why he puts ads in. certainly i would.
and i am not really a big fan of his, but he is the best example i can use.
Yeah i understand what you mean. Some people should already know its not worth it. i put ads on mine, but i have a legitimate reason. Im poor, Ive been posting for years, i actually try to make a good flash.
Hell, i even use google adsense.
I can sit through an ad so long as I know that the video will be worth it.
The difference between your work and the work I'm bitching and moaning about is that your single ad is an afterthought. You aren't churning out crap just to shove in a bunch of ads and make a few cents.
The way I see it, the number of tolerable ads is directly proportional to the awesomeness the containing video achieves. If a video or game is good, I don't mind being shown an ad. However, if one's movie or game has dozens of ads, it had be the kind of presentation that blasts me out of my computer chair and forces me to give high praise upon my return to consciousness.

I generally think of these things as a necessary evil. Advertisements pay newgounds, and the money helps make the websites possible.
For the site? Sure.
For the users? WAAAAAAAAY more harm than good.

What's to discuss... you're 100% correct. We must've seen the same game the other day. After the in-game ad, I zero bombed it as well. I think the real problem is the b/p crowd that votes 2 on everything regardless of content, just to get their stats up.
I've been here 11 years and NG (and Flash itself) ain't what it used to be. Such is life.
