CE-Rap pretty much lays it all out here.

Just when we thought we had it in the bag, a freakin' hurricane shows up and sets us back another week. I suppose losing a week to Irene is the most understandable delay we've had yet. I mean, it's the weather. What can ya do?

Anyway, September 20th is the new release date for VG Exiles Episode 3.

That is, of course, pending Tom Fulp's approval. I have optimized this flash as much as I can, but the simple fact is there is SO MUCH STUFF in here that it will end up as the largest movie ever submitted to Newgrounds. The final scenes are not yet fully complete, but I estimate that this video will run well over twenty minutes and be around 35 mb.

35 mb (approximately) is a LOT for a flash but, honestly, it's chump change considering everything that's going into this production. We have, of course, a full-length four-minute fight. Add to that several plot scenes involving complete musical scoring and unbelievable visuals that go way past the highest quality standard for flash. Add to that the vocal contributions of over half a dozen voice actors. There has been more work put into this than some network television shows. That said, I think that 35-40 mb is one hell of a deal.

I'll start messaging Tom once I get closer to an exact size figure. Of course, there is also every possibility that one of the admins will see this front-page post and give him a quick heads-up...

The story scenes are animated using original artwork. The white-knuckle action is still in sprites.

once this his the portal, im sure that this will be one of the only submissions that a hurricane couldnt stop.
if i remeber right too, the last time tom raised the limit for submissions was with alvin earthworms most recent SMBZ, which was by far worth its size in quality. if VGE2 tells anything, VGE3 will raise the standard.

Just quit promising dates and release it when it's done. Everytime you promise something and don't deliver the fans get down and some quit waiting. I check your page everynow and then so if i see its on there then it's there. If not, I know I gotta wait a little longer. No doubt it's worth it, but all the hype is getting tedious. Just post it when it's done. I'm sure there will me more than enough shock and awe.

R1665 has had no release date for 2 years. To me it's more like "We are 'finished' or at the door of 'finish' so let's get some energy going and get this thing out there with a release date in order." I imagine it would be like Blizz saying "Hey we're at the end of Diablo 3 so let's give everyone the release date because WE WILL make it by then." oh and "sometime in july" is not a real release date but a heads up.

BTW I thought "Hey! Shape of Love is AWESOME" maybe next teus. isn't the best date. You know it'd be like 2 Ancient Dragons fighting eachother for the rights to the 'Newgrounds Cave' and destroying the countryside (community) at large. Moreover with the 2 dragons colliding the fallen one is overshadowed by the one who takes the victory. If one dragon flies in the cave and has its 1 to 2 weeks of slumber it can fly out and let the others in! ( D The community here has Great Animators of all kind and R1665 really REALLY needs his space, for his coming will resound throughout the land and mark a 'Changing' for all to see!

The 20th isn't next Tuesday. It's the Tuesday after and we will DEFINITELY hit that date with Tom Fulp's approval.

As far as this VGE3 dragon is concerned, I would readily pit it against the very BEST this site has to offer. No hesitation and no question.
